Video Marketing For Accountants
Posted by Marketing Man in Marketing for Accountants,Online Marketing,Video Marketing | September 4, 2012Video marketing for accountants may not be a new marketing technique, but it is becoming an increasingly important marketing tool for any website. Not only can it support a successful SEO campaign it can also help to increase the level of customer engagement in your website.
- People are in a hurry. More and more accountants are investing their time into blogging, which is a good thing, but you could really set yourself apart from the competition by having video blogs or video versions of blog posts.
- People enjoy watching video content. Watching a brief video about your company or services can be a lot easier than wading through page after page of content, it also adds another dimension to your website and makes it instantly more interesting than a page full of text.
- Videos can build credibility. Video can be a great way to help build your credibility and expertise within the accountancy industry, for example a series of quick tips or “how to” videos can be a great way to begin building your reputation as a market leader.
Producing videos for your website does not need to be expensive, you could produce a series of informational videos with a decent smartphone, tablet or camera for instance. There are also a number of services you can use online to build quick and easy videos, ok they may not be Spielberg quality but they are something you can quickly produce and add to your website and to video sharing sites like youTube and Vimeo.
I would still always recommend a professionally produced video to give a good overview of your business and capabilities but adding self-made videos are a great start. Check out the video below that we made using the free package from Animoto, it’s a simple animated slideshow with some background music and it took us all of 5 minutes to put together. It is far from perfect, there are a number of things I would have changed, but for free and 5 minutes of my time I have a video I can put up on my website, youTube, Facebook, Twitter etc.
