Marketing With Video Testimonials
Posted by Marketing Man in Marketing for Accountants,Video Marketing | September 11, 2012For any accountancy firm looking to increase the amount of visitors it gets to it’s website and increase the amount of time visitors spend on their website video testimonials can be a great addition. When utilised properly video testimonials can be a fantastic addition to a business website and really help turn potential customers into paying customers.
The main problem you are going to have is convincing a client to give you their testimonial via video as it is much more of a commitment than a written testimonial, you may be able to encourage this by offering a service discount for any video reviews that you receive. Some companies will actually go out to see the customer and video the testimonial themselves, this is an option, but you could also just get the client to send you a video via email or a file sharing website. After all most modern phones have pretty good video technology these days.
There is also the option of getting somebody else to “present” the testimonial to the camera if your client will supply you with a script to read from, this can be a good solution if the client is more than happy to provide you with a testimonial but they are not keen on appearing on video. Always make sure you have permission from the client to get someone else to read the testimonial and show them the finished article before going live with it.
Gain More Exposure With Video Testimonials
A few, relatively short, video testimonials can do more for the credibility of your business than 20 written testimonials. By uploading the video to sites like youTube and Vimeo you are sharing the content and getting more exposure, you can then promote the video via your Facebook, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.
Not only will this help to increase the exposure the video will receive over the various social networks but if you have optimised the youTube upload correctly you can get that to rank for relevant search terms too.
A video testimonial can be a great way to allay any fears that potential customers may have and convince them that you are the right company to be working with. It adds a layer of credibility and professionalism to your company that it is hard to achieve through written content and provides the user with a much more interactive web experience.
Not only will these video testimonials serve as a visual source of information about your accountancy firm, but they can also put potential customers at ease. If a visitor has never used your company’s product or services before, they may be wary of the level of service they will get from you. Video testimonials go a long way towards putting these fears to rest.
